Philips SON lampen
Philips SON lampen maken gebruik van hogedruk natrium techniek. De lampen bevatten een ceramische ontladingsbuis, zijn gevat in een hardglazen buitenballon en hebben een E27 of E40 voet.
Verschillende soorten SON lampen
De SON categorie kan worden verdeeld in twee onderstaande groepen.

De SON lampen hebben een ovoïde buitenballon met inwendige witte coating. Ze worden vooral toegepast in openbare ruimten en stedelijke gebieden of als decoratieve floodlighting. De SON-T lampen beschikken over een buisvormige heldere buitenballon en zijn bijzonder geschikt als verlichting voor openbare ruimten en stedelijke gebieden, decoratieve floodlighting, industriële, commerciële en winkelverlichting en sportaccommodaties (zowel binnen als buiten).
